J.J. McGuire President Jeff Robinson appointed Vice President of The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce

Congratulations to Jeff Robinson who was recently appointed as Vice President of The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce.

Jeff was welcomed to his new position by Oshawa Mayor John Henry and by the Commissioner of Planning and Economic Development for the Region of Durham, Brian Bridgeman at the annual Regional Chair’s Luncheon.

In keeping with J.J. McGuire’s long tradition of giving back to their community, Jeff has served as a member of The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce for a number of years and looks forward to providing even greater support to local businesses in his new capacity.

The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce was established in 1928.  Over the last 90 years, they have provided networking and mutual support opportunities to local businesses.  In 2005, The Canadian Chamber of Commerce awarded them the National Accreditation, the highest quality standard awarded to Chambers of Commerce.

Description
The project consisted of renovating an existing office building complete with the warehouse. It also included new wash bays, new lifts for vehicle maintenance and new weigh scale. Part of the project was to construct a new salt storage facility, a canopy for vehicles and a new fuel station as part of the new operations center. New mechanical and electrical upgrades, including a new security system, was completed for the building.

Description:
The project consisted of renovating an existing 2-story building and improving some of the exterior features. Construction included demolition and abatement of existing conditions, upgrading mechanical and electrical systems, new communications and data, all new flooring, ceilings and painting throughout, as well as new millwork to fill the spaces. The exterior improvements featured new roofing, EIFS and new storefront glazing.
